When the river overflows,

It uproots everything it can from upstream

Maybe u could be among the uprooted.

Be sure to be near,

Because u don want to miss the scenario.

Sometimes it changes course,

Mmhm! Change is inevitable.

It’s cause springs have sprout up,

Ever tasted the ever refreshing spring waters?

Yeah, it floods the plains

Don say u weren’t prepared for the floods.

 

When the river overflows,

It fills it’s banks with sand,

But few get to harvest the sand.

 

When the river overflows,

Its cause it rained hard

Were you participating in the rain reigning hard?

It flows with  its own flow,

Y r u imitating other’s flow?

 

When the river overflows,

It stretches far and wide,

Reaching places it never reached before.

IT’S A MAD MADD WORLD THAT WE LIVING IN.

 

We ruin our health looking for money

Yet we end up spending the cash earned tryna regain our health.

 

Spend more time from our loved ones looking for cash to cater for them

But end up spending less n less time with or loved ones.

 

We are busy developing stories, creating stories

Rarely do we pose to enjoy, live thru the stories

Be the stories that we creating.

 

Tryna impress my gal with flashy jewelry, designer clothes, vocational trips

Material gifts,

Not realizing that my personality, my wits, guts,

was the first thing that got her attracted to me.

 

Busy poking into people’s issues,

Forgetting to remove the logs in our eyes.

 

Busy building castles in the air

Too lazy to build foundations

That will enable us to reach the castles up in the air.

 

Faithfully believing in hope,

Cuz no one wants to be labeled too lazy to hope.

 

Recursively voting for same ol’ politicians

Blinded by their bribery, manipulative techniques,

While we turn down potential leaders from within our midst,

Capable leaders at grassroots level.

 

Fashionably copywriting  foreign culture

Forgetting to copyright our own culture.

 

Blinded by philosophy of earning a living to live decently

Yet forgetting to lively live our lives, just how life supposed to be.

 

After scaling heights, corrupted by power, money, and fame

Sadly do we forget where we came from,

Philanthropy is just never in our generic code.
